Palomar Mountain State Park features spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean, in addition to rustic camping, picnicking, hiking, and fishing for trout in Doane Pond. Coniferous forests cover much of the Park's 1,897 acres, in contrast to the dry lowlands surrounding the mountain. This is one of the few southern California areas with a Sierra Nevada-like atmosphere. The world-famous Palomar Observatory is located eight miles east of the Park.
You know and love this place, so come on out for the annual Martini Club camping extraveganza! It would seem that this year we'll be allowed to have a campfire, so bring some firewood.

Welcome to the Martini Club!
News:
August, 2003
Another successful Martini Club! A bit more subdued than usual, but we blame that on Bones not being able to make it. Although I didn't take a lot of pictures those that I did take are available for viewing. If anyone wants to send me theirs that they took, please do and I'll add them to this batch.
JT is hinting at a possible Octoberfest Martini Club in Big Bear. Stay tuned!
March, 2003
We are booked at Palomar in July, check out the Events link for more information.
Directions To Palomar Mountain State Park
Take the 15 South, through Temecula. About 15 minutes past Temecula, exit Highway 76 East
Take this until you reach the S-6, follow that up the road to the summit. (You will know you are there when you see the General Store and Post Office.) Make two consecutive left turns onto S-7 which will take you into the Palomar State Park. If we arrive before you just ask for directions to the campground reserved under Crowley.
Don't know if my phone will work up there, but the number is 626)260-8423. Bring firewood! As of now we can still make campfires.

The Martini Club on the Web
Thanks to Bones' suggestion I'll probably be getting The Martini Club it's own space soon at Microworld. Pay once and never pay again, I'll just be leaving the forums on my own domain.
If you are a Martini Club memeber and haven't signed up at the forums, please do so.
